Ken

First of all , Happy Birthday to Ken (today 5-12). I first started communicating with him before VG era. Steve at Angela Instruments, who I had dealt with lots, told me about his Express. That started it off. Back then 1175 was the most expensive tube amp around, but it was a no risk deal. If you didn't like it, money back. Plus no deposit. When I got the Express, I was floored. That started my Wreck addiction. No amp had sounded like this. And, i later found out, no two sounded alike.I had no idea they would become legendary or nearly unobtainable, but in the early days you could buy used ones if you put the word out. Ken brokered a lot of used ones for guys..

I reckon he's up there makin' amps for the Praise and Worship bands in Heaven.
Maybe that's what makes it Heaven– everybody get a Trainwreck amp :!: 8) :D

Sure would be some surreal times having the chassis on the bench swapping parts and fine tuning while , Hendrix or SRV and on and on just tilt their heads back and wail . Jimmi Vaughn had a wonderful song performed by him and a group of allstars paying tribute to SRV . One of the Nevel brothers wrote it and the hook was ' another guitar slinger joins the band ' . Oh the tone ...

Reminds me of an old country song, by Tex Ritter, IIRC–Hillbilly Heaven.
