Album recorded with my Liverpool is close to done!
Here is a rough mix playback so you can hear what our producer is doing to my tone. (Hardly anything but a bid of reverb on this particular song)
A side note: We were lucky enough to have Anton Pukshansky produce and mix our album. He won grammy's for Santana's Supernatural album (1999) and Ozomatli's Street signs (2004)
All guitar on all 10 songs are recorded with a liverpool. (I'm going to try and re-record one of the leads with the Rocket Fishy just built me if I can make it happen! THANKS FISH!)
Album will release this June.

I really dig it! Kind of has the Free meets Zep live feel to it. I always like a 3 piece with a single vocal on top. Alot of interaction and improv can happen nicely when it's stripped down to the essentials. Sounds like it's gonna be a cool CD, with great tones and alot of space for them to fully stand out in the mix.

I liked it too. Reminded me, in some strange way, of Cactus. Maybe it was the drums. Not really sure. But cool no matter what. And the Liverpool sounded wonderful.
Re: Album recorded with my Liverpool is close to done!
That sounds great! Since everyone is making comparisons I would say it has a more Humble Pie flavor to it. Keep us posted on the progress and let us know when it is available.

I thought the TW was a bright sounding amp? That amp is thick on the bottom with great mids.

THanks for checking the vid out everyone.
I appreciate it.
mixing all 10 songs now, I'll be finding out shortly if I might be able to re-track one of the leads with my new Rocket. As much as I want this thing to be done I'm dying to get the rocket on the record.

+1 on the Humble Pie reference.. (Rockin' the Filmore has to be one of the best live albums, bar none...)
I would also add it has a Cry of Love influence (great underrated band from NC that put out 2 killer albums in the 90's..Audley Freed is the player who also toured with The Black Crowes).

Re: Album recorded with my Liverpool is close to done!
My attorney just mailed me Cry Of Love "Brother" and they are ROCKIN.
Fun fact...
I had never heard of Steve Marriott or Cry of love until about 2 months ago.
I have been listening to freddie king, paul kossof and "free", Zep, The Black Keys, john kimbrough, and stuff in that realm but i had never heard humble pie until our producer youtubed "i dont need no doctor" about 6 weeks ago or so. PHENOMENAL. That little dude can sing!
I had also never listened to any james gang (besides funk 49 of course and still did not know who did that song) Some fans turned me onto joe walsh and james gang and i heard alot of my style in there.
all of the above really tripped me out.
One more fun fact... I'm a bass player who turned guitar player and Bob is a guitar player turned bass player. Bob had never even picked up a bass until August 08 when i asked him to join the band. 25 years of guitar and now he completely TEARS APART THE BASS through an old Traynor Bass Master. Bob is 47 and a child of the 70's which I believe is why he already knows how to drive the bus from the back of the bus. (i'm 33)
Its been an interesting 11 months. Time to get this show on the road.
Thanks again everyone. i hope to meet all of you some day.

It's funny this comes up, cry of love brother has been in my cd player in my car for the past month at least, Freed is a great player and very under-rated. Has played with Frampton among many others...
The link to your audio clip is blocked here at work, I'll have to check it out when I get home...

plague- clip sounds awesome. the liverpool is my new favorite amp. i've got it paired up with a 78 LP custom- it doesn't get much better than a paul through a liverpool does it? Also- +1 on the Black Keys- really nice plexi tones all over the new record. BTW- JG Funk #49 has been my amp test riff for quite a while now

Sounding Great! I can't wait for this album to come out! I've mentioned to a couple people that asked that I like the In Between, but unfortunately I have no album to point to yet.
I'm curious, what pickups do you have in your les paul? Are they the stock burstbuckers that come in the 59 historic?
