R7=150K ?

Seems I read somewhere that some of you have used a 250k pot here. Is this a good place to tweak if you are after a cleaner or more distorted sound. Does a lower value here clean things up a bit? Do you run into any noise problems by using a pot here?

I put a 100 kohm resistor and a 100 kohm trimmer in series to my Express and tweaked total value until I found the spot that I liked. My total resistance is at the moment 168 kohm. This combination did not cause any extra noice etc. The smaller the value of that total resistance is, the cleaner the sound, because a bigger part of signal is going to ground. The value of resistor combination is pretty tricky if you play with humuckers and single coils. In that case a pot in faceplate could be handy to adjust resistance according guitar you are using.
