You know, he should put it on eBay for $1 NR. With the resulting frenzy he'd probably get more than $25k. I've seen two identical items on eBay and the one that started at a dollar going for more than the BIN price of the other.

Perhaps the next best thing if you can't sell the amp it to take photo's of the internals of the amp and sell that?

I totally agree with you, this sort of thing will attract these sort of reactions from people. There will be a lot of people who'd just like to play through one, and eventually you'll find someone who'll make an offer.

I saw a Black face Tremolux head and cab for sale at $4.5K and I thought it was expensive. $25Kusd for an amp, I'd take a hell of a lot of convincing to part with that sort of money, especially as I haven't got it.
