Hello,

This is a link to my Express pictures.

I use the Allyn Meyers’ chassis and the ToneSlut transformers.

Thanks Amp Garage

Looks really nice!

Nice clean build. :D

Where are you from?

I take it English is not your primary language?

Thanks Tom

I’m from Montreal, Canada. I added my location in my profile.

My primary language is French.

Good looking build. The chassis shows a nice and clean build. I like your choice of black cab and that faceplate is cool. Did you do the cab and faceplate yourself?

Thanks Mark

I built my cab. I took my faceplate at frontpanelexpress.com.
I drew it with a Front panel express’ software.

Those face plates could be a good thing to offer on the forum.

Ces plaques de visage pourrait être une bonne chose à offrir sur le forum.

My faceplate file is there http://www.internet.uqam.ca/web/t6762/f ... tFinal.fpd

This file works with a Front Panel Designer software at frontpanelexpress.com

My front panel fits perfectly with my Allyn Meyers chassis except the lamp hole is 0.375 inche. It’s a little small. I used a round file for that.

If you use a chassis cover, it’s a good idea to add about 1/8 inche for that.

Thanks MSS

Now, I don’t have samples. Maybe if I play in a studio, I'll have them. Sometimes I play with a friend at studio Économique in St-Henri.

François,

I finally got to working with that faceplate file you gave but I did several workups before I remembered you gave me your file. It was easy except remembering to enter the right size holes. Thanks

Mark,

The thickness of this faceplate is 2.0 mm. It’s thick with Allyn Meyers chassis. It’s good for PEC or Clarostat pots, I’m used these in my Express. Perhaps with Bournes is ok. I never used this pot. I think it’s too thick for Alpha pots. I hope your pots are good for that.

The software works well, if you first make all holes with their sizes. Second, you write. After that, if you change hole or hole size is more difficult.

François,

How has your amp been sounding?

I ordered a face plate and it looks fantastic so I wanted to thank you for that.

I want to learn how to insert an engraving object so I will be working on that next.
