Rocket OT primary and speaker ohm

Post by andrew »

Hello all, I built a Rocket that uses a Heyboer 40watt 4 ohm primary with 8,4 and 2 ohm secondaries. I am using the 8 ohm tap into an 8 ohm speaker. Is this a desirable combination? Thanks!

The following link has the information regarding the rocket spec transformers and includes some insight into the output transformer.

As to the 4k being a desirable combination. If you like what you hear, then yes. If your goal is a true replica of a rocket, the transformers identified in the link would be your first choice.
