Removal of bright switch, whats going on??

I tweaked a little to tame the brigthness in my TW and tested to remove the whole brigth switch from the circut. I lost nearly all gain and more the 50% of the volume! Can someone tell me whats going on there?

Check for a bad solder joint on the volume pot. If you used shielded cable to the volume pot make sure you are not grounding the signal. Good luck!
