Pot Wiring Question

The A1a schematic uses the diagonal arrow through the zigzag line symbol for the mid and bass pots. How do those get wired?

Check out the Francesca pics, e.g. Hamer014.jpg or DSC01105.jpg. The symbol refers to wiring the pot as a variable resistor.
