Ceriatone Liverpool arrived - this time unscathed

Post by captain_rusty »

DHL delivered the replacement this afternoon for the one they dropped 6 weeks ago. Nik did a great job here - not only did he make me another amp to replace the one DHL damaged, but he welded the chassis corners to reinforce them (a very sensible idea) , and packed the amp in a double carton.

I tried it at home, but it's of course way too loud, so I went to the rehearsal place, even though it wasn't our slot, and there was no-one there, so I started to set up. Immediately, the band whose slot it was arrived, so I had exactly 4 minutes of gig volume testing

Impressions after 4 minutes :D:
1) It's LOUD!!! I tried it on half-power, but I couldn't tell the difference in the time available...
2) It sounds TERRIFIC!!! You pick lighter and it clears up. You max the guitar volume and it howls wonderfully. With the neck pickup it doesn't get muddy - sounds like Clapton with Cream sort of thing... Big chords ring out - it's a whole lot more focused and precise-sounding than my Red Bear, for example.
3) I'm HAPPY!!!!!!

Good deal Captain ! It seems like its been 2 or 3 months since your first one arrived smashed. Im sure at this point it was worth the wait. keep us posted on how it works for you with the band.
