Stadium 80

Post by M Fowler »

Komet style cab mocha stain built by friend Clarke, Komet 60 style faceplate and custom chassis.

I have been thinking about this build for a year even with so much else going on I had to followup on getting the cab done and parts in to start later this month.

I will use standard 100w Marshall plexi Magnetic Component transformer set rather then 300-0-300 PT and 3k3 OT the Meyer Stadium 80 uses and I will be using a pair of KT88 tubes.

Hey Mark, I always enjoy following along on one of your builds... are you going to use a tune rectifier on your build?

Thanks Bob, no tube rectifier on this one.

I actually have been trying to stay away from tube rectifiers. I'm not so convinced people are experiencing tube sag. Can always add a sag resistor.

Yeah,I tend to agree with the no rectifier on the big amps. I just saw that Komet layout and was curious if you were going to follow it.
