Allyn's Rocket transformers

Post by gktamps »

Can anyone confirm the part numbers for Allyn's recent supply of Rocket transformers? I bought a set plus a Rocket chassis, but just started this build, and found out I got a Liverpool chassis instead. No worries, as I can simply drill for the rectifier tube, but now I'm wondering if I also got Liverpool transformers.

I've sent Allyn PMs and emails but haven't heard from him yet, so I'm hoping to save some time and get started; have any of you also recently bought Rocket transformers from Allyn this last go-around, and can confirm that my transformer parts 2111 and 2117 are Rocket-correct?

Thank you!

Greg

Allyn only sells Liverpool chassis and Express chassis, you have to drill your own rectifier socket hole to use the chassis as a Rocket. :)

Pretty sure Allyn also only uses one set of transformers for both LP and Rocket.

Thanks, Mark, I did figure on drilling the hole, but didn't know Allyn provided only Lpool chassis for Rocket. Again, no problem, but it had me wondering if I had the right transformers. I didn't get a wiring color code with these, but can figure them out.
