Hello everyone,
Just wondering if anyone out there can tell me the correct value for the
Liverpool treble cap as I have seen both 50pF and 500pF listed.
Mark Abbotts drawing shows 50pF whilst Ceriatones layout
shows 500pF.
Any help or experience shared would be much appreciated.
Cheers
Paddy

Re: Liverpool Treble Cap
The standard value is 47pf or 50pf with a 1meg pot for both treble and bass. When a 500pf cap was used the middle cap was changed from .02uf to .002uf.

Thanks for the reply Tubedogsmith,
Do you or anyone else have any opinions as to which is the best combination to use?
I have built the Ceriatone version, which sounds great but I'd hate
to think I was missing out on something
Cheers

Re: Liverpool Treble Cap
Best is up to the listener. I think the 500pf cap is constipated sounding. The amp was intended for tele's and strats and it sounds more open with more dynamics with the 47/50pf cap. With the 500pf cap and humbuckers the amp is more of a piledriver if that's what you want.

Thanks again for the reply.
I guess the best thing to do is to try different values and see which
sounds best with my guitars.
Your advise is most appreciated.
