Split Power and Preamp Boards?

Hello All,

I imagine this has come up in discussion before but I am wondering what Ken's reasoning might have been behind using two separate boards for the preamp and power sections in his amps. Now I imagine its just to eliminate the influence of one on the other but I'm wondering if anyone with a little more knowledge might break it down into a pros and cons of this design feature.
