Asteriod Iron

Post by M Fowler »

I received a quote for PT, OT and choke from Heyboer and the choke is $90 for a 10hry open frame?

The OT is cheaper then the choke, is this possible? I think I will just order the PT and OT and forget about the choke from Heyboer.

Any thoughts?

is that $ quote for the actual Black wrapped choke used by Komet or the Tan stock choke? it does feel $$$ for a choke.. was it fair to say you choked when you saw the price lol

I didn't choke but I bocked at ordering.

No chassis available. This is the last set I got.

I'm not going to build another traditional K60 anyway.

bocked.. hmm... shiner bock

Thanks now i'm thirsty. :D

what sort of build do you have in mind?

Since you are not building a traditional Komet Stancor Chokes sell on Ebay for $10 or less. I have a most of a 70's catalog i'll go check and see if it has chokes on it. Then you can search the model number.

The amp will be the Komet 60 schematic built into a Mojo bassman chassis with different board layout, separate bias board, two bias pots, and different cap board.

Bassman head cab will be 10 inches tall more pleasing to the eye to me then the squashed looks of the regular bassman cab.

I have wanted to build it this way for about two years and it's time I do this.

I used the wrong tranny number I used HTS-7550 which is a OT and I should have used HTS-7750 choke $25.00, so mystery solved.

Even my pictures shows it's a 7750 so I should have just looked at that when I did my request.

I ordered the set.
