Express PT (EL34)

Post by C Moore »

Is there a "Typical" PT secondary voltage that you guys think is standard for an Express? What kind of plate voltage do you guys like to have on the plates of EL34's in an Express build?
Thank You

Thank You -
I built a Ceriatone kit with 34's and I am wondering about both the PT and the OT. It has been a while since I used it, so I need to get back inside and check the plate voltage again. A friend of mine has the "same" amp, and I installed one of those Edcor 6.6k OT in his chassis. There is an "improvement" in tone with the Edcor, but I am wondering about his plate voltage/PT as well.
Anyway.....I need to get back inside of mine.
Thanks Again
