Sounds like I have some PO going on .. half volume stirke a note and aI get a farty sound riding the note. I know this thing is hot, any tips from the pros .? thanks

Check the grid wire between the volume pot and the second triode and make sure it's well pressed into the chassis.

Also check your NFB routing, but this doesn't sound like it'll be that particular problem.
