Found this quote from KF, just wondering if a slave box as described has been built here and if the plans are avail.
merry Xmas all

"However, if you wish to use rack mount effects, it is possible to do so by plugging directly into the front of your Trainwreck with your guitar. Run one cord from the "SPEAKER JACK" to your speaker cabinet, and the other "SPEAKER JACK" cord to a "slave box" which brings the amp signal down to "line level". You may then run the signal from the slave box out to the rack unit of your choice, and then out to another amplifier or mixing board. This way you preserve the original Trainwreck sound, and separately control your effects."

You can easily find the info online to change the speaker level to line level in an Airbrake. It's the same as the line out on a Hot Plate as well.

Re: Slave Box for Rocket
Heck - DI boxes have been around forever. Back when I still gigged, I used an H&K Red Box Pro on stage for a LONG time, and a regular H&K Red Box before that. (Google them...) Our bass player used a different brand DI box - we all went direct instead of mic'ing the cabs. No cross-bleed, great separation - made the sound man's job easier. The only mics on stage were the vocal mics and the the drums. My guitar, the keyboards (and his guitar as well), the bass player... we all went direct.
Find yourself an H&K Red Box Pro. The most transparent one I've used. I've heard all the arguments about not capturing the magic of our favorite speakers, but let me tell you - the average patron at a night club doesn't care, and a good sound guy can EQ you pretty damn close anyway.
EDIT: I didn't go far enough with my explanation - I know KF's explanation was about sending an attenuated output to an effects rig, not DI'ing for sound system input - I should have said that the signal from the DI that I used to go to the sound board is equally useful for sending a signal to an effects system that can handle a line-level signal. That's not how I used mine, but they're capable of it, and I'm sure that's the kind of application of a "load box" that KF meant.

Re: Slave Box for Rocket
Years ago (early 90s) Ken gave me some specs for a DI out I've used to this day. 2nd speaker jack with the hot lead out through a 56k resistor in series, tied to a 1k to ground. Then you take you + and ground off of both sides of the 1k. You can tweak the 56k up or down a bit to trim your line out level.
Well alright
So thats why this place is so great. You are wonderful fellow.
