Serge, that was made by Jeph (on the forums). He stopped making them. I have a mini one for smaller amps as well as an attachment for circuit boards....nice huh?

Yeah, once I understood what was going on, it was really quite simple to install. The most negotiating was tapping in to my 120V source, which was completely on the opposite side of the chassis. You can see the long wire run in the pic. Since that pic, I've tucked that twisted pair of wires back nice and tidy.UR12 wrote:I have some available but I need info about your application before I can give you a price. I don't want it to appear I am spaming and trying to hock my wares on the forum so I would prefer a PM so we can talk about your options.marcoloco961 wrote: Yet no one will say, are there any kits for sale or available?? Is it all being handled through PM's?
I just sent one to Rawnster and he installed it in an amp to switch a tone stack lift in and out. Maybe he can chime in and give you a review of how he set his up.
It's a pretty fool-proof installation too. Simply supply the small tranny with 120v AC. Connect the 5v output side of the tranny (two connections) to the board with the cap and 7805A regulator. Connect the + and - of this second board to the + and - of the switch board itself. On the switch board there are options to have the switch funtion NO (normally open), or NC (normally closed). I connected to the NC and connected the COM to ground. Next I had to build a footswitch that would active the switch. Unfortunately I don't have available pics or schematic of the pedal. I can post them later.
How does it work: perfectly! No popping or delay or extraneous noise from the long AC run. I simply needed a more dynamic way of lifting the tone stack for lead playing, and Dana's option works beautifully.
Hey Dana, I'm kind of addicted to it now. I want a switcher with 3 switchable features. hint hint

On Mark Huss' website, mhuss.com, you can see in the 18W section there are two versions of his switching scheme. One uses one chip that can form an SPDT switch. The other incorporates a second chip (with only one internal SSR) to give SPDT + SPST.
They make these chips with different numbers of internal switches, you can combine them and trigger them with the same switch, creating as many switching combinations as you need..
EDIT: Also, the way Mark has done the switching just uses a single transistor so you don't need an ultra pure 5V supply like you would for logic switching. Pretty much any way you can turn on an LED, you can turn on the SSR.
