Anyone built a trainwreck and not liked it?

FYI

The tubes I currently run in my original '89 Express and two matching clones cost me under $100 for each complete set. "New" Groove Tube EL34Ms and old Sylvania preamp tubes. I recently picked up 8 more nice condition (used not NOS) '60s era Sylvania 12AX7s for less than $100 for all 8. These are the tubes in all of my Youtube clips, nothing high dollar.

I have some NOS Siemens EL34s here but I can't say they sound any better than the EL34Ms in my 3 amps.

There are still some decent sounding tubes out there for Trainwreck type amps without spending $100s...
