Hey guys,
You can use the "non-improved" or original bootstrapped master volume and it will not affect the feedback loop. The only downside is that it won't completely kill the signal when you turn it down but who plays their amp with the volume turned all the way down (e.g. no sound)? This has the transparency of the improved bootstrapped master volume and solves the feedback problem if you can deal with a little signal feed through when turned all the way down.
