who is realityczech?

I don't have any issues with your products they are some of the better mass production clones I've used. Your products make it possible to keep the collectables safe at home while the tone goes out on the road.

That's how it started: A guy who said "heck, who'd steal a Fuchs....I'd rather take that out than my Dumble..." :)

I probably work with 30 Fuchs a year not counting the assholes who hang lights

I'm not finding any thing in the Train-45 thread except a volume issue at an amp show that made it to hard to A/B amps.

I'm sure JM / the estate will at some point release the songwriter 30, the estamate has already proved time and time again respecting Ken is not the mode of operation. It's cashing in on profit. I'd go as far to say that JM doesn't have access to the Songwriter 30 or the correct parts to build it and it's not the circuit he is not allowed to clone he is probably not a loud to buy additional parts until the current stock is used up. I've tried to see the bright side of this as an amp collector but this what I keep coming up with...

1.- ON the bright side the original KF amps will go up as the market is filled with want to be.
2.- The flooding of authorized cloner amps will lower the value of the amps they are based off of. i.e. 300 francesca.. francesca's value drops.
3.- Trainwreck sold out authorising clones as valid - the originals are not special -

I'm curious to see the used price of a new ReIssue. If it follows current trend. When you can purchase a new amp for $5000 and amps are still in production no matter how long the wait time that amp will never be worth $5000 again. most amps drop 30-55% the moment they are owned. If JM and Trainwreck have a falling out, it could prove profitable, or even more detrimental if they replace him with just another, "his claim to fame is he is building Trainwrecks now" guy.

I'm curious to see the guts of a new wreck but it's not that exciting honestly, it's just a clone of another amp. I like seeing forum build pics because those are exciting accomplishments, But if I was to purchase one of JM's builds and it sucked for $5000 I'd bitch so loud, Trainwreck wouldn't exsist, so you have to expect they have some quality control...

give it time I'm sure you will be able to order a songwriter 30 clone, a dirty little monster clone, and any other standardized clone model.
it doesnt suck, i will tell you that! the amp is incredible.it has the fastest attack that i ever heard. the amp just screams out the harmonics and overtones on bends. power chords are huge and focused, and the note separation is even better than my SLO. i can be playing clean and soft then attack harder and the amp is in full blown distortion, just with playing dynamics,i haven't even gotten to the volume controls on the guitar yet.
JM is building true trainwrecks.call them clones or whatever you want, but the fact remains that no amp i ever heard even comes close, the only difference is the ken is no longer here to tube them up. from what i heard in my amp, Jm also has a great ear. No one is going to get rich building 10 amps a year, and splitting the profit with others. plus im sure the parts and labour add up to at least 2500.
anyhow,i don't want to see a whole whack of them either, but im sure they wont be flooding the market with trainwrecks anytime soon. the originals will still be very special piece's ,and a lucky few more people will have a chance to own a great amp. the amps are getting out there, they will have clips soon. i will as well.

I was just wondering after reading Mrscratch's description of how his amp sounds if he has ever played any other TW clones. Reason being his description sounds almost just like most of the comments I have heard from others when they tried a clone. I mean exactly how much difference is there between these official clones and the amps we build. And is that a $3,000 difference? I can't speak from personal experience ...yet...because my first Express style clone is still in work. I am a bass player , not a guitar player so I have to invite guitarists over to put the amps I build thru their paces. Anytime I have used a TW like preamp on a SE build the guitarists have ALL raved about them. Both here in my home and in gig situations. I have not sold any of them but have loaned them out. I was more intrigued by the DLM style amps but wanted a more versatile amp that could be used for cleans and leads. I can't play guitar but I know what kind of guitar tone I like to hear when I am playing bass.

I'm not sure why the parts would cost $2500 ken bought them back in the day so they are paid for. not to mention purchased probably in bulk so.. $400-600?

I look forward to hearing what a $5K buys.

If you are in the Southern California area I'd be happy to record your clips in my studio. I can even get in an actual Trainwreck for comparision, this would be a great way to get me ass in gear and build the NOS Clone with original Stancor OT and Pacific OT as well as a BOM clone so we can have a shoot out. I can bring in a studio musician or you are welcome to play. Personally my playing doesn't due a wreck justice.
I've got all the test gear for comparing tubes. and the studio gear for a profession shoot out.

dinner time..

no i have not played any other trainwreck amp, clone or otherwise. i did have a fuchs train 45 for a couple weeks.
i dont really know how else to describe an amp without being so cliche.
without offending anyone, the train 45 did not sound anything like my express. not bad, just not alike.

that would be great. im not sure if travelling to SOCAL is in my budget or time frame right now! not sure about the costs of parts. yes most of them were NOS. in canada, you pay 4000 for a SLO, so 5k for a wreck was a pretty good deal to me!
