and the other non connected toggle

Thats quite interesting. Is that other toggle hanging there for a possible bright later on ??

Are you guys ( BN ) doing a kit for the Cadet??

Thanks, but I use schematics much more than layouts. I can look at a schematic and "see" what's going on. I guess I will have to draw my own. Thanks again.

OK, I'm going to really show my lack of understanding here... but isn't there typically a reverb tank, and am I missing something completely here?

Please pardon my ignorance and clue me in on what I'm missing....

Yes there is, but it assumed that you connect the tank to the RCAs that are under the board. You can see them in the transparency of the board in the layout.

Reverb tank can be screwed to the top of the cabinet or behind the front valance on head style tubes up amp.

Schematics..-- This is the typical one-tube reverb that's been floating aroung here for some time ?

I kinew I must have been overlooking something.. I will look at it again.

It would be very helpful to have a schematic to help understand how works a bit more...

Anybody have one? Beuller?

C'mon, Ron. It's just reverb - common to most every blackface Fender ever made...

Hi All, I too need a schematic to rap my brain around. This does appear to be very similar to a AB763 reverb. The differences seem to be the way the reverb is returned to the circuit and there appears to be a "swap" of the cathode resistance values. I humbly suggest the latter is an error in this otherwise great layout that Normster has shared.

So far I've found this circuit to be consistent with the Rocket version A0 that has been previously posted and enhanced with the addition of reverb 'ala AB763' and I'm sure some fine tuning by Normster.

Submitted for approval/rebuttal is the following chicken scratch...

Reverb Circuit

Post by sst4270 »

Gentlemen,

The circuit that Normster used for his Rocket Reverb (Space Cadet) was posted here:

https://tubeamparchive.com/viewtopic.php?t=6603

Bottom of page one. It came from a Matchless Spitfire. Very simple.

And yes you'll have to figure out how to implement it, but between it and the layout posted in this thread you should be able to figure it out.

Enjoy,

Steve

The reverb circuit was actually lifted from a Matchless Lightening but uses a single triode for the recovery side. The value changes were based on parts I had on hand, but it worked so I haven't done any tweaks. The significant difference between the Matchless circuit and Fender is that the reverb is returned to the bottom of the PI rather than mixed with the PI input.

Matchless

Oops. Norm, I meant Lightning. I was even staring at the circuit diagram as I typed it. Duh!

Just had twins 8 weeks ago. I'm a little sleepy.

Thanks for piping in.

Thanks for the info guys...I particularly enjoyed the SpaceCadet Tele clip!

Normster - do you recall which reverb tank you used? The Lightning Reverb schematic references a 2 spring tank - 8 ohm input, 2,250 ohm output, long delay...Thanks.

You can use what ever tank you want to. I know Norm uses a short tank with the Space Cadet. I use a full 17" tank in mine. Different flavors for sure. I would stick with Accutronics tanks for best performance.

Thanks for the advice Dartanion. I guess as long as I pick a tank and transformer that match impedance-wise I should be okay.
