Very cool to see a real Rocket in action.
That being said I really would like to hear the amp without the echo pedal no matter how it was set. Also a 2x12 Vox alnico cab would be sweet.
A lot of you guys are getting close on your builds- what say you?

Re: New VIDEO with original Trainwreck Rocket
Man, this is a tough crowd.
I guess I was listening for the qualities I hear in my home-brew Rocket and was pleased with the tone of the video. It really validated that I didn't screw up too badly.
I would say that the Baker (even with coil split) was probably not the best choice for a Rocket demo. IMHO, this amp really shines with a Tele, and in the right hands, sounds pretty awesome with a Strat as well. Still, you could hear that "elastic, percussive" tone coming through in the video. What was hard to pick out was the way the amp lets the sparkle through but stops just short of being spikey. Probably a result of YouTube compression.
Anyway, thanks for posting the link, Glen. Always interested in hearing the "real deal" since so few of us have ever had the opportunity to play one.
