Mark,
I now realize you can't build just one  . Maybe a 5e3 tweed deluxe, ODS and/or an 18-watt would be nice also. Or I could save money and buy a ready-made Alessandro, Cornford or Bruno - but where's the fun in that?

Interesting choice. How did you decide on that one? I didn't see any sound samples for it on the Eminence site.

On another topic:
When I was debugging the TW liverpool I had a problem with oscillation that sounded like a trumpet or trombone. It was affected only by the presence control and it went away when I disconnected the feedback signal. You probably guessed already that it was caused by positive feedback instead of the intended negative feedback. I fixed it by swapping the phase of the final output to the output transformer (and re-connecting the feedback signal of course).

Dave

After building many 1 x 12" cabs, all with different speakers, all Eminence.

Private Jack, Governor, Red White and Blues, Delta Pro.

Tried the Delta Pro after reading some speaker suggestions on the...huh... The Amp Garage...

Very nice build Dave, especially for your first!!! The cabinet came out clean, good job. This is my first post here, been "lurking" for a bit and just wanted to give you some props. I only recently came across this site and immediately decided i was gonna build something like an express after seeing builds like this, as soon as my current project is done that is...

Tubetwang,
Thanks for the Eminence info. Sounds like I should build a few speaker cabinets so I can try some of them.

Bruce,
Thank you kindly. I think you would enjoy building it.

Bruce,

Welcome to ampgarage and keep us posted on if you decide to build an express.

Dave,

Build that cabinet and give a shot of it when done. I always enjoy seeing what everyone is building, keeps me excited to build and create.

Thanks Mark, it's funny, I made a will call order last night and stopped at Mcmaster Carr this morning to pick up some more garolite, I changed my current build's layout a bit, I like KF's power supply board and filter cap set-up so my current build will now be similar to that. I have 100 turrets on the way and enough garolite left over to start "my express"... This hobby is addicting...

I asked Jim at Southbay Ampworks for his recommendation. I'll post his reply when I receive it.
Jim recommended the 65W M75 (small dust cap version). This is based on the information I gave him so your results may vary.
