As per drawing - 50ohm. I used 2 x 100ohm in parallel c/w 220uF @ 100v,
at low volumes , these resistors are quite warm after only a few minutes .Would an extra 50 or 60 vdc B+ allow to much current flow??

I took some more voltage readings last nite with a little lower input voltage , 111vac (long extension with 1500watt heater for load) . I measured Cathode voltage @123vac input = 8.9vdc into 50ohm - 178mA or about 45mA per tube , I believe max. is 65mA. Then re-checked @ 111vac input , Cathode voltage 7.9vdc into 50ohm - 158mA or about 40mA per tube . Checked for A.C. ripple on the P.S. and found 3.9vac 120hz at B+1 , B+2-5 measured virtually zero . First cap Bad maybe (too much leakage??)

Re: Rocket Issues
I'm interested to know if 3.9vac is "too much" also. You don't hear it on B1 since it cancels in the OPT and I suspect it may be acceptable, but I'm guessing.Macshaft wrote:I took some more voltage readings last nite with a little lower input voltage , 111vac (long extension with 1500watt heater for load) . If it says "Vintage" on it, -it isn't.
