Hello,

ok, I understand: Marks schem is the usual way to damp plopping of a switch. Robertos RS is in a way the same but with possible shelving effect (between 330 and 1M). 2M2 is only plopp compensation.
Very interesting!

Thank you all.

Hans-Jörg

EDIT:

The 2M2 is in and is perfect! no plopp at all - soft swithing like a relay :D

Roberto ...

In your split load plate diagram on the previous page ...
shouldn't the 2nf cap be in circuit in the 100k plate position and the 100n cap be in circuit with the 22k/82k split plate?

Also I don't understand the shelving effect of Rs?

Hi,

I think you´r right Rock-mumbles.

I have the 2n2 at the 100k, and the 0,1 at he 82k.

Ok, now should be ok.

Remember that the 82k 22k it's just a voltage divider. I mean, it can be 91k 10k, 47k 47k, 68k 33k, etc...

I think now it's all more clear.
Please look at the new attachment to the previous post.

THANKS!!!

Now it all makes sense, I understand the split load plate but I wasn't seeing the shelving from RS and RL ...

Another option is to keep the low-side always connected, and just add the 2n2-100k side to add a 13dB boost on mid-highs.

I thought this switch as a 1M log pot with on-off switch.
This way you can turn it on and decide how much 2n2-100k sound you want to add to the 100n-22k sound.

Something like this, without the switch.
On the Plot file you can see the effect of the pot set to: 1M 470k 100k 10k 0.

Hi,
nice way to use the second triode :)

But the poti variation from Roberto beats all :D
Much better than to switch "only" in and out. With this on/off poti you can switch to the existing 82k/100n the 100k/2n2 and dail it in to the "quantity" you want. Its famous!

Thank you both.
