This is cool! What is that black tape inside for near the supply caps?
Notice any vibration issues in the cab?

The black tape is simply to mask 3 holes drilled by error

Regarding the vibration issues, that's precisely what I have to resolve right now.
The cab is strong and rigid, there's nothing to worry about that.
But I have some microphonic interferences with some particular frequencies. No feedback, but some high pitched "chimes" sounds, especially when I play with the neck pickup (lot of bass), e.g. the C note on the 5th string...
I have tried a lot of different tubes, in particular some good NOS 12AY7 (from Mike) well-known to be very quiet and not microphonic at all.

Maybe the chassis is mounted too firmly into the cab, I will try to isolate it with some rubber or so...

Someone here had experienced the same issue with a combo :?:

Yes you need to use some cushioning between the chassis and cab so the vibration is lessened.

Also may need to add o-rings to the power tubes.

Yep, I will isolate the chassis from the cab using soft rubber tapes and some rubber washers for the screws.
I wonder if it would be useful to also work around the fastening between speaker and cab ? :?:

And I just ordered some tube dampers....

Rooster brought this little mod to the forum and it might be worth looking at as it directly addresses vibration related issues.

Not too sure how many others have tried this to tame V1. I ordered one but have not got round to installing it.
