There are many sources for the trainwreck chassis but selloutrr wants to get as close as possible to the real TW chassis the AC-425 which is very thin material.

I don't think the AC-412 is coated but I do not know that for sure.

LMB still makes a flimsy, aluminum chassis, 17x8x2, model 8172. Available for $28 without cover/bottom or $42 with it included.

I've used some LMB's for other projects and they're all right.

I located a sheet of 22"x55" .050 raw aluminum today. I'll drop it off at the fabricators Monday. If the first one turns out correct the sheet is big enough for two. I'll update when I know more.

Or if shipping to UK is too much, I'll take it :D. I want to build a "period" correct Express too, or at least a parts correct one.

I'll let you know I have my fingers crossed they turn out.

They are not going to be cheap.
I'm in $30 in material and estimated $50-$100 in labor each.

I wont know until it's finished how much it actually costs per chassis.
