Express Sozos Polarity

Post by mumford »

Just got in some sozos for my ceriatone express build.

I've heard that orienting the band toward lower impedance can reduce a bit of noise. However, I'm a hack and don't have any idea which direction would be lower impedance, unless it's something simple like "toward the input."

Can someone clue me in, or direct me toward a picture of someone's build with the quieter orientation?

Figured it out--towards where the signal is coming from, or the ground?

Basically B+ and ground are the low impedance sources, so that's where the stripe wants to orient towards.

It should be pretty obvious for most points except the tone stack, where you need to look at what the impedance is on either side of the cap and orient it towards the lower one.
