Liverpool build

Post by fishy »

The chassis has been waiting in the wings for a long time and has some scars as a result but overall I am pleased to date.
Its alive although I have not had chance to turn it up or check everything out. If I have any issues as I get to play with it and check it out properly I will no doubt shout up if the fix eludes me.
Used a 250 /280 tap Heyboer (wired to the 250 tap) for the power which was initially planned for a Rocket..
Aside from the presence control (express style) and the pot which is not a 5k, 25k with a 6.2k across it, the build is pretty much stock component wise. I did use stranded wire for much of the build which is a first for me. Stranded and solid core both have there pros / cons but I do think that the stranded wire helps out with the microphonics.....just an opinion.

Thanks to the forum for all the support and knowledge it offers. Special mention for Allyn (chassis), RJ (boards) and Lonely Raven (frontplate).

Voltage chart is attached along with a few pics. I am open to anything constructive so fire away...

Pete,

Yet another nice build. :)

Looking forward to some clips when you get her tweaked.

Glad to see your amp finished, nice job. :)

I don't know for sure but I think the wire depends on the insulation of the wire nice thick outer jacket solid Vs. stranded.

Very cool, Pete. How does this one compare to your other Liverpool build?

Excellent work Fishy!

Looking forward to the clips.

Seems like just one more and you'll have all the amps you "need"...

Well, my original Liverpool ended up looking like a science project  although it did turn out to be pretty sweet sonically.
It was a great learning experience though...

This one is much closer to what I was hoping for. I am a little hesitant to fly the flag too high yet though as it is still early days and it will need some time to settle in.

Hopefully I can get some clips sorted out that will reflect its character.
