Question on tonestack mod

Post by ACDCG400 »

Hey guys, will it make much difference if i sub the mid pot for a 10k or otherwise appropriate resistor in an express pre build? =] i dont have the front panel space since im building it into a vjr.

Thanks,
Donato

That'll work. Most people tend to have the mid around noon and it's a linear pot, so a 12K resistor would be the obvious choice.

You could also put a trimmer pot on the board instead of the mid pot on the front panel. Adjust to taste...

Look 'round the Dumble forum to see how this idea is implemented on the HRM internal tone stack.
