I am building my Express with a VVR, and even though I understant how to implement it, I seem to remember someone posted a Ceriatone Expression layout with this already in..
I am particularly interested in the mods required to add the 2 caps and resistors... I have been trying to find it for the last hour and just didnt find it...
So, if someone could send me that, it would be great as I just want to be sure of everything before doing it...
Thanks!
Express with VVR Schematic or Layout???

I have no idea what layout you may be refering to but here is a pic of where I placed the caps and resistors on the board.HDeno wrote: I am particularly interested in the mods required to add the 2 caps and resistors... I have been trying to find it for the last hour and just didnt find it...

Re: Express with VVR Schematic or Layout???
Thanks Dana,
Very good idea to put them there.. Too bad I didnt think to buy spare turrets to modify the board.. I will instead install the caps and resistors directly on the input jack and volume pot..
One small question then.. For the input jack, there is already a 1M resistor there.. Do you add the cap in series on the wire that goes to the grid and add another 1M resistor to ground right after. You would end up having two resistors?... Or do you just 'move' the resistor that's already on the jack to use it on the 'output' leg of the cap?... Also, on the picture of your board, I cannot see the R2 resistor in parallel with the C1 cap, is it still there?...
Last question, for the cap/resistor that goes on the volume pot... DOes it matter if we install it before or after the bright switch?.. I would think it doesn tchange anything, but just want to be sure...
Thank you!!

Re: Express with VVR Schematic or Layout???
On the input jack you can leave the resistor there and add another, you can move the one that is there to after the cap and to the grid of the tube. The one coming off the vol control needs to come off the wiper and be between the wiper and the grid.HDeno wrote:Thanks Dana,
