My Anvil case is done!

Totally worth it.

Nice quilt.
Oh, and where did you find the case. That looks like it will protect the amp nicely and no one would expect a cool amp inside. :)
I wouldn't do anything to the outside. It has "character".

Ya! I like the balance of colours in the checkerboard. Yellow has always been a fave of mine in the bedroom.

I'll let my little sister know the quilt she made us is getting more attention than the case! :D

Plague,
Sorry I started something.
Seriously where did you find the case?
It's very functional. Good protection for taking it to and from gigs and storing it when not being used.
Having the handle on it is better than having to put one on the amp, a mod that would be desirable to some. Although I have considered it, but this looks like a good option.

No big deal Gary. It really is a nice quilt! lol

I ordered the case custom from anvil. took about 2 weeks to get it.

Also, the amp can sit in the bottom of the case on the speaker cabinet and all the cables can still plug in just fine. Decreases vibration.

Ty

thing was expensive though.

How expensive, if you don't mind saying?

I was thinking of doing the same thing, when I get mine done. Really does beat putting the handle on the cab.

That new Anvil case made to fit perfectly is really awesome!

I had two Anvil road cases for 100 watt size Marshall heads sitting around. I made two cases out of them that will fit a Trainwreck head, and since the cases are long I have a section partitioned off for cords and such. The amp fits in the case face down, and I had to swap out one side of the foam in the case for 1/2" thick and make cutouts for the feet. By grabing the transformers it's pretty easy to lift the amp in and out of the case. Anyway, just letting folks know that if you have an old Marshall head style road case it can be modded to fit a Trainwreck size head. By pulling out the insert I can still fit a Marshall head in the modded case. I already had a band saw and with a thin blade it makes really smooth clean cuts in road case foam.

On a downside you can't play the amp in the case!

"Back in the day" I lined a milk crate with carpet foam, put my original Trainwreck Express in it on end and put a trash bag over it in case it rained...
