Warren Haynes plays some trainwrecks and other cool guitars

Post by riscado »

I found it a bit weird that no one seems to have posted this here, so I waited, but since no one seems to do so, I think there's no arm in trying it now since it's an older post.

Mr. Charles Daughtry, who is a lpforum member and proud trainwreck owner, had the pleasure to have Mr. Warren Haynes (Govt. Mule and Allman Brothers) visit his house to hang out and try some amps and guitars (including some trainwrecks and vintage gibsons). Also Mr. Warren Haynes used Mr. Daughtry's early 50's goldtop during that evening's show to play a couple of songs. Very cool stuff indeed, which Mr. Daughtry was kind enough to share with the lpforum users.

I think this is interesting to this forum, because of the trainwreck content, obviously. According to Mr. Daughtry, Warren, enjoyed playing through his several Trainwrecks the most, even though Mr. Daughtry claims he sounded his best throuh an old bluesbreaker combo.

any way, here goes the link to the original topic at the lpforum and a couple of selected photos from the same topic:

an afternoon with Warren - by Charles Daughtry

some selected (with trainwreck content) photos, see original topic for more info and more photos:

(by the way, your imagination is not playing tricks on you, there are indeed 5 original trainwreck amps (expresses and liverpools) in the photos)

Mr. Charles Daughtry might be "wreckboy" who occassionally posts here. That looks like his TW collection. What a fortunate guy- in MANY ways 8)

Very cool. Warren is one of my favs. I'd kill for one of those TWE's that Charlie has (not to mention his bursts). Glad this was shared with us. The thread on the Les Paul Forum is good reading for a Haynes fan.

It's hard to believe that TWO people have that kind of TW collection

The Wrecks are actually small-fry compared to Charlie's guitar collection!

He's a good guy, and a great player. 8)
