1K 25W Resistors?

Post by nickt »

Looks like Mouser has standardised on $45.00 international shipping! Ouch!

Would anyone be prepared to whack one of the Xircon 25W 1k resistors in a post bag and mail to Australia? (can do paypal! )

Alternativly does anyone have an international friendly source for these things?

Alternatively is there an aussie with a couple of these happy to sell/trade one?

Thanks
Nick

Nik-

I would put together a buy of all the stuff you want for several builds, and then let us know. I live 10 miles from Allied, and can pick up ship free.

A bulk package from a "relative" would make your customs issue easy, me thinks....

I know it's no help now, but after I get settled into the new house in a few weeks I'd be happy to help you out. I'm probably going to be putting an order in then anyhow, and I'd be happy to score you some parts and ship out to you.

But as I said, that wont be for a few weeks yet.

Gee you guys are great!

Thanks for the offers and PM's - think I'm going to be good.

Lonely Raven: I'm gonna need one of your face plates.
Given my build speed expect an order sometime in 2009  :D

Thanks

I guess Warren Buffet doesn't think they knew what they were doing when Mouser went from O to #1 in about 15 years. After giving all his money to Willie Gates I guess he's gotta pick on you guys to build it up again. I'll ship you whatever also if you need, but you better get LR's faceplate quick, he's going to be drastically cutting back production soon.

Yeah, sorry to say this if you missed the threads in the classifieds sections...but I only have 2 weeks left at my current work location, and I'm being moved about an hour south.

It's difficult to schedule time on the laser as it is...I'm lucky to get one, maybe two days a week on it. But after the move, I'd be lucky if I could schedule and find time for one day a month.

So after the move to the new location, it's unlikely that I'll be making any new plates at all unless some high roller comes up with a huge order that would make the time and effort worth it.

I will be making as many Rocket faceplates for the Rocket project as I can in between my last few custom faceplate jobs. I will also make some basic Express/Pool plates in the Calamity Jane style so I'll have some to sell in the future.

Whey they are all gone, they are gone. I just can't promise any more.
