Ground lugs????
Well,
I received all my parts for my Express!
...almost.... I am running short of ground lugs (the small washer with a lug we use for the star ground).
My usual suppliers seems not to have them anymore on catalog (Banzai, TubeTown...)
Where do you guys get yours?

Re: Ground lugs????
you should be able to get ring terminals at any hardware store that has an electrical/lighting section.
Re: Ground lugs????
the automobile one's with the coloured plastic stripped...then pressed & soldered to your bus wire.
Re: Ground lugs????
In a pinch, I've used a slighly oversized toothed washer, the kind with the teeth on the outside. Most hardware stores sell ring terminals that fill the bill. Strip off the plastic and you can run 2-3 wires into the hole, bend them backwards and solder them in place. Mail order will be killer pricing with the added postage. $1 for parts, $8 for shipping.
Re: Ground lugs????
Thanks a lot guys!!
In the meantime I found them well hidden on Banzai web site, bought 300 just to make sure I'll have enough for the next season
I use the automotive one usually for the main wall ground, pressing it on the wire. I always found hard to make a good solder on those one.
Anyway, time to receive the ground lugs I work on my head cabinet....

Re: Ground lugs????
That's what I do with the automotive ones. I scuff up the chassis, scuff up the ring terminal, cut off the plastic insulator, and I use star washer to help lock it down...or if I'm out of star washers I'll bolt and solder though you need a big honkin iron for that.mumford wrote:Take the plastic off of those radio shack squeeze connectors?
