Presence control on Liverpool
I have read where some implement the Express presence wiring on their LP builds. I am curious as to the difference of doing this and which is the "generally preferred" method ? most useful....not necessarily historically correct.

Re: Presence control on Liverpool
I personally prefer the Express Presence control. I feel the Express Presence Control has a better taper to it, whereas the Liverpool Control tends to not do a lot below halfway.
Also the Liverpool Control is designed to remove the scratch noise you get when turning the control.
Thats just what I've found anyway when implementing those circuits.

What value pot did you use ? 5k ? Did you do away with the 4.7k resistor as well ?

Re: Presence control on Liverpool
If you mean the Express Presence control then I just used a 5K Pot with a 0.1uF Capacitor. Look at the Express schematic or even look at an old Marshall 1959 schematic as that used the same control.
I should add that I've only used the Liverpool Control in a Marshall 2204. Should work the same though.
