Effects Loop anyone?
Will the drive of the preamp section on an Express overdrive say a Metro loop?
Re: Effects Loop anyone?
Didn't you and I have this conversation before? Due to the gain structure (the amount of preamp gain) there is no place to collect a signal that would not overdrive the loop. Well, there is one place, V1A, I suppose. But then you are basically plugging into the front of the amp so why bother creating a loop?
Not to discourage invention and creative thought, I would suggest you just enjoy the Express for what it is.

Most people stall out when fixing a mistake that they've made. Why?

I don't remember.. I'm stupid.
I guess an attenuator with a loop would be the ticket. Thanks.

Is that even a thing? I think you'd need an additional amplifer, post-attenuation, like the Bad Cat Unleash.leadfootdriver wrote:I guess an attenuator with a loop would be the ticket. Thanks.
