Not that it matters but the best sounding Express circuit I ever built was in a late BF Bassman (with ~440 on the plates). But I just sloppily wired it in as a quick test in the Bass channel...leads going all over. It oscillated at really high volume settings but with the volume on 6 or so it didn't oscillate and was wild yet musical. I've never been able to replicate that (I've only tried a few times though). I later gutted that amp due to a conductive board and just made it a Fender Normal channel (no reverb or vibrato) and an AA864 Bass channel tweaked for guitar.

Good point about the PT. I figure since it's already been replaced, it won't be bastardizing it too much to replace it again. I just hope there's something on it to identify it.
