Converting Carmen Ghia to 6V6?

I know this is the Trainwreck column, but any helpful info on converting a Dr Z Carmen Ghia to 6V6?

You say Dr. Z Carmen Ghia and I'm assuming you mean just that, which, if so, why devalue it?

I agree, for the devaluation cost of a Ghia you could build a darn fine 6V6.

I agree my 5e3 breaks up so nicly but I wanted a 6l6 5e whick Mark Fowler build me and it a great amp handsdown!!But your 6v6 is a snottier breakup
kind of zz top snarl and the 6l6 is a lot more clean headroom.Id keep your amp stock and save for something new or used.Good Luck buddy!!!

It is a build...sorry, I forgot to mention this earlier. Its just a thought to see how this build would sound with 6V6. Thanks for the helpful info guys.

Ohh Sorry Dave I didnt relize its a build,Yea go for it,Somebody here can help you.It never ends with amps and tubes amd circuits,thats what so fun about amps.I have about 20 amps from builds and some I bought as a kid.My wife sometimes asks me to get rid of some but each amp has a diff vibe and I dont want to let go.And the Twreck builds I could still tweek them for years to come.Its a bug once you get it and Ive had it for 40 yrs it never ends.The amp bug did kinda curve the guitar bug.But ,I may try building a tele or LP special this year.Good luck with your build ,sorry Im not much any help,Mikey
