I also went from UF5407 diodes to 1N4007's on the rectifier. There's some tradoffs. My high gain tone got a lot better with more gritty articulation. But my clean roll back took a huge hit. Now my cleans are cold.

It seems that every part in this amp has a bug influence on the end tone.

You have the string of diodes for flyback protection on each leg of the OT as well?

And, 1N4007 in the rectifier = cold cleans but better distortion?
