It sounds great when it is in it's sweet spot, but gets mushy at the 3:00 point, probably if he switched the 0.0022uF out it would cure that issue.

I could be wrong but from my experience attenuators do have some effect on the tone, and I'm sure those Celestions wanted to see more than 2 watts too, but only Aaron can clarify if the attenuator effected the tone or not and how the speakers handled the low wattage..

You'd still have to be happy with that amp. The other amp I rather like is the Caswell Marshalls.
