Yes thats a gold logo'd Klon. I got on a pedal kick and finally just finished aquiring all the pedals I wanted to have. My pedals are:
Gold Centaur logo'd Klon
WH1 Whammy Pedal - damn those are going big bucks lately
Vintage Italian Crybaby
Retrosonic Chorus --Great CE-1 replica
England made Marshall Guv'nor
ProAnalog Top Boost -- Rangemaster clone--man I love that pedal!!
USA Ross Phaser
USA Ross Flanger
USA Ross Analog Stereo Delay
Though im still really wanting the king of all delays..The Echoczar..but theres like a minimum of 1yr wait on one.

I read at the Komet webpage that KF had used an "extra" 12AX7 stage to boost bass frequencies.

I wonder if this in parallel with one of the stages...??? martins3325, did you notice if there were any unused pins on the 12AX7 tubes?

Thanks for sharing your impressions.

Well I want to be carefull on this because I am friendly with the Komet guys and it is a current production amp.. unlike the Express ..which is why I dont understand people getting thier panties in a bind about a Express' "secrets being revealed"..besides most experts agree the Wrecks true secret was in the way he voiced each one for each customer. I mean all of us just want to have a great Trainwreck type amp without mortgaging our homes..I dont think anyone here is looking to start Willy Wonkas Trainwreck Copy Factory. Anyway.. since im basically an electronics idiot I guess i cant reveal much anyway cuz I have no clue what does what..lol But it looks like the middle 12ax7 on the KF50 has all the pins wired and a resistor on it, where the K60 has 3 unused pins on the middle 12ax7.

Being as clueless as I am you guys probably think im crazy trying to build a Fran clone..but I once had Billy Penn --Penn Amps-- send me a kit ..basically just all the parts..and a pictoral layout for a Tweed Super..I just followed the pic to a Tee and the amp turned out killer! So im trying it again..this time before I turn it on I hope to turn the project over to an expert to make sure its all kosher and --hopefully wont be required-- bring it under control if its oscillating wildly as I hear initial builds tend to do.

If you pay attention to your lead dress you should be fine, MEasure twice cut once so to speak. Since you have all those fantastic Fran pics you should be fine so long as you follow them.

Wiring layout. Keep it neat, short as you can, and keep DC carrying wires away from the wires carrying the AC signal like grid wires and wires from the volume and tone controls.

Never run plate wires next to grid wires, and if they must cross do so at 90 degree angles, Plate wires are long, grid wires are short

This is an update to the pre-amp layout that i drew up. I forgot one turret location. It is the bottom side turret for v2's 100k plate resistor.

And another question. Is that a National Westwood or Newport in the picture? Is it an original, or have they reissued those?

I guess with that knob layout it would be a Glenwood?
