Hey guys, I've built (from kits) and worked on a few amps and now I'd like to take a crack at building a Rocket clone in the next few weeks. I know Ceriatone sells one, but I'm a little hesitant ordering everything overseas. I've also read that you should order the kit and then get trannies from Heyboer.
1. Are there other kits besides the Ceriatone?
2. What are the pros/cons for people who've decided to source all the parts from scratch (using the posted BOM, etc.)? I don't have the tools to go out and make my own chassis and turretboard.
I searched/googled, but the threads I found were at least a couple years old. If anybody has updated info, that would be awesome.
To buy a kit or not?

Re: To buy a kit or not?
At this moment in time the only Rocket kit available is from Ceriatone and people order minus transformers for two reasons shipping cost and they have been told to use other transformers. I've used Ceriatone transformers and they were good. So your on your own there. Also, if in the USA there is a company www.Ceriatone.net that sells kits and the shipping is cheaper.
In the near future rjguitar might be back selling TW kits but he will have to notify us of when that would be.
You could get a chassis from allynmey owner of TAG. He might be able to supply all parts ask him.
You could get a blank chassis and drill your own the instructions are in the TW file section. Not sure if joebob is still providing complete TW boards or not.
