Ceriatone Express Problem?

Got my amp today, but there seems to be an issue. With the volume on the guitar off, there's a high pitched squeal. Then when I turn it up there's tons of crackle. Especially when I try to play. I tapped the tubes... didn't seem to be that. I have an email into Nik. Anyone have any thoughts? The tone sounds a lot like when you keep playing as an amp is powering down.

The first place I would start is to check the bias on the output tubes and try replacing the preamp tubes and see if it makes a difference. Also, play with the settings for the tone stack. Sometimes, depending and how close to the edge your particular Express is, a certain tone setting can send it into oscillation. Also, if it's played loud, and I'm sure it is or will be, do not set it on the speaker cab that it's plugged into.
