Great demo. One of the best I thought. Really gives you a good idea of what an express sounds like.

That's why we love em :)

You have to shake my hand, otherwise you won't have the blues.

Or like me and my friend Lucifer likes to call them, the browns.

I know i'm gonna get flamed for this - so Full Disclaimer- its known that I own and have Off and on, tried (for financial reasons only) selling my new production Wreck, Constance (express) - but I have to say, that I was not impressed at all with these videos.

In my opinion, this video promotes the Placebo effect in full force.

NOW - even though it is a youtube video - Glen's youtube videos of his amp was part and parcel of what made me want a wreck. When I got mine from John - after some tube tweaking and seriously learning how to play with the eq, as i'm convinced that 12:00 is not the sweet spot for every amp out there - i was blown away at its clarity and tightness. None of the amps in the video did that for me.

The bottom end of the first one was very muddy - the 2nd one was different sounding, but still boring to me, and the Liverpool with singlecoils sounded the best, but i still didn't find it to be as AMAZING as others i've heard.
Frankly, nothing about the video made me say "DAMN GOTTA GET ANOTHER ONE"
I'll say that - I did like the Liverpool the best.

these were, in my opinion, no better than any of the first videos that Matt O'Ree did that were flamed on the other forums.

Just my $.02 - but to me, for $90K-100k worth of amps, this video was pretty unimpressive. Kinda makes me wonder why George Lynch and Billy Gibbons no longer own them - since money probably ins't an object to them.

Cheers

notice in my first line i said "some" may like them. Not all.

Everyone likes things for whatever reason.
And we all know, how things are recorded,to what each listener is playing back the youtube file on. Can make a huge difference.

Since their isn't much on the real wrecks, its good to hear when clips are made.

I like to hear clips of all the amps, good or bad, still like to hear them.As i'm sure others may too.If you don't like them, thats cool too.

Most of what George Lynch owns, but Billy owns around 200 amps and plays maybe 3 of them. All Marshall rack stuff live though. That is how it goes.

We do all play what we like.

Did anyone also look to see where the bright switch was? In the center or off position. When showing controls they would leave the switch out of the pick, and just show the knobs.

I think the bright switch was off in all the demos.
