Hi Allyn,
I live in Italy so I can't have the possibility to play or listen to this super-amp...
Will you (or someone of this project) post some sounds/recordings of this amp?
I read that you conduct the tuning operations... What have you done? Was it a difficult work? Would you like to share some of your experience?
Regards
Stefano

Yowza, fabulous wiring! There's a lot of loving that went into that build. Quite moving.
Cabinet is Kauri wood? Wow. It's not just centuries old, a lot of it is 10s of thousands of years old. This one is 50,000 and the largest current plank in the US:

The certiificate of authenticity that came with the wood certifies that the wood used to build the cab was carbon dated to be between 30,000 - 50,000 years old. Bob Burt did a beautiful job on the cab and not only donated his time and expertise but also the expensive Kauri used in the cab. Every part and the labor to build the amp was ALL donated by people who only wanted to build a tribute to one of the greatest amp gurus to ever live. It's truly a work of art.gearhead wrote:Yowza, fabulous wiring! There's a lot of loving that went into that build. Quite moving.
