I'm switching between 56k and 100k. 56k sounds more compressed and voxy, 100k more modern

Exactly. Sometimes I use 120k Rp on hi gain channels' CF,
but depends on previous stage too.
With low gain channels, and power amps without feedback, expecially with EL84, 56-68k Rp gives a nice compression and warmth on mids.
