Hi,
I'm Italian and I'm new in this forum.
I had start built tubes amps from 6 months and now for me it's a drug!!!(please, sorry for my bad English).
I see on blueguitar twreck schematic, I hear mp3 from this forum and now I'm intresting to built one.
But I'd like to have possibility to chage tubes output between these:EL34, KT66, 6V6, 6L6, 5881 (obviously with bias pot). This is my desire for all tube amp...
Is it OK heyboer OT with two different impedance (5.2k - 6.6k)?
I'm unsure on OT primary impedance because I see climax schematic and this amp can use different outpu tubes. Have climax amp different OT primary impedance? How much value climax OT primary impedance?
I don't understand influence of OT primary impedance on tone response.
Thanks
Luca

I would not think that there is anything special in the Climax OT that allow it to use any of these tubes, besides the fact that no limits is exceeded for any components (PT heater current, maximum plate voltage).
There is a compromise here as the primary impedance stays the same and it may not be the "optimum" plate load, in term of efficiency and tone.
