Finished up my first Rocket this weekend, unofficially dubbed the Wrocket. Standard rocket values with a bypassed V2a cathode, 470ohm screen resistors, and PPIMV. thank goodness for the MV because it is LOUD!
i made the PCB using PCB express. it worked out pretty good. you can see from the pics i moved the filter caps near the stage they serve.
i like the sound. not sure if i even have to mess around with anything. i need to figure out what to do with the 300V taps. perhaps i will add the switch to the back.
so much credit goes to this forum. i spent hours reading here and learned a ton and give credit to it when showing my family/friends.
only changed gain during the clips. 2006 american tele:
MV: only 3/10!
gain: started off at 10oclock, moved to 1230, finished turned fully up.
bass: 11oclock
treble: 1oclock
cut: 3oclock.

Re: First 'Wrocket'
i'd also like to add that this is my first successful attempt at an amp! i tried the P1x from AX84 and it had the worse hum you could ever imagine. then i tried the stangrayer but both craftsmanship and layout were poor and i did a terrible job drilling the chassis.
i have a good idea of what i did wrong and learned from this build so i'm going to give the ray another try and start from scratch. afterall i still have all the parts.

Like the finish!
Where are those two green wires going/the twisted pair of red wires that are heading out of the chassis?

Re: First 'Wrocket'
they're the other primaries for the output transformer. the 'ultralinear' option. i haven't cut them and hid them yet.
